Change. Everybody needs it...at some time.
And sometimes it’s easy for us to complicate change. Got that t-shirt? 🙋🏽♀️
You think about it, plan for it, even get excited about it…but when it comes time to actually make it happen…overwhelm or distraction often steps in. And don't even mention inconsistency.
I see this all the time with my clients.
- They intend to make a change. They think about it, plan, maybe even write it down. Spreadsheet anyone?
- But they don’t consistently act on it, either because of overwhelm, all-or-nothing thinking, or distraction.
This creates a gap between intention and action.
The 7-day Well-Being Challenge I created, becomes a way to bridge that gap…giving you one small, doable action (a chosen habit in one well-being area) that moves you out of “thinking about it” into actually “practicing it.”
So, this “intention-to-action” bridge frames this challenge as a short-term inspiration vehicle that gets you unstuck from planning mode and into doing mode.
Are you excited yet?
Great! So, let’s dive a little deeper for a little more clarity.
Why We Struggle with Change
Many high-achievers struggle with all-or-nothing thinking. They want to do it all…start five new habits at once, overhaul their schedule overnight…or they do nothing at all because they can’t decide where to start. And when results don’t show up fast enough, they get discouraged and give up too soon.
Sound familiar? You’re not alone.
Here’s what I know to be true:
Change doesn’t happen because we pile on more or chase perfection. It happens when we take consistent, intentional steps forward. Yep…even the smallest ones can make big changes over time…when we’re consistent.
Why 7 Days?
Let’s clear something up: seven days will not create a fully formed habit or instant life change. That’s not realistic. Sorry.
But seven days will give you something very powerful: a foundation. And I’m all about foundations.
Think of it like this: for too long, you’ve been standing on the edge of intention, looking across at the life or results you want. Seven days of consistent practice becomes the bridge from intention to action. It’s the difference between just thinking about change and actually stepping into it.
Those seven days? They’re your steps. Your reps. They’re the proof to yourself that you can follow through. And that foundation supports the bigger changes that follow.
Crossing the Bridge with Purpose
When you step onto this 7-Day Well-Being Challenge bridge, here’s the perspective shift:
- Behind you is overwhelm, indecision, and all-or-nothing thinking.
- Ahead of you is clarity, momentum, and a simple, steady path forward.
- Every day you show up for your habit is a plank laid down across that bridge.
- Each action, small as it may feel, secures that plank in place, making the crossing steadier and easier.
- With every step, you’ll notice how much lighter it feels to walk in confidence with focus instead of pressure. Ahhh.
The 5 Areas of Well-Being (Choose One)
Here are some areas to consider for your challenge. While well-being isn’t confined to these areas, they’re the most thought of, and the easiest to start with.
For each, you’ll find a simple, practical habit to choose…and remember, you only need to focus on one area and one habit for these seven days. Simple.
- Nutrition
Habit: Start your day with a nutrient-rich smoothie or a high-protein breakfast. It fuels you for success. - Quality Time
Habit: Schedule a tech-free dinner with family or friends. Reconnect without distractions and create meaningful memories. - Mindfulness & Clarity
Habit: Dedicate 10 minutes each morning to meditation, prayer, or journaling. Begin your day grateful and grounded. - Personal Development
Habit: Read a chapter of a book or Scripture that inspires or motivates you toward your goals. Keep your mind growing. - Movement & Activity
Habit: Take a short walk during your lunch break. Boost your energy, mood, and focus for the afternoon.
Your 7-Day Challenge Steps
Here’s how it works:
- Choose one area of your well-being.
- Choose one habit within that area.
- Commit to practicing it every day for the next seven days.
- Don’t complicate it. Don’t hop around.
- Keep it simple enough you can’t “fail” at it, but meaningful enough that you’ll feel proud for sticking with it.
That’s it! One area, one habit, seven days. Boom!
OH! And no fair choosing something...you're already doing. 🙄
Why It Works
Small, intentional actions compound. A single choice doesn’t change everything overnight, but it sets momentum in motion. And momentum is powerful…it turns one good choice into the next, building confidence, clarity, and direction along the way.
This 7-day challenge isn’t about hacking your way into an instant habit. It’s about laying down that first solid plank, stepping onto the bridge, and proving to yourself that action is possible.
Your Challenge Awaits
This is your invitation: step onto the bridge. Choose one area, choose one habit, and commit for seven days. BOOM! 🔥
Remember...this isn’t about perfection. It’s about moving across that bridge…from good intentions that keep you stuck, to action built on clarity and focus, gaining momentum that leads to…success!
