A Reset: Your Bridge to Wholeness and JOY

Imagine waking up one morning feeling rested, lighter, and genuinely excited about the day ahead.

Now imagine doing that most days. 😊

This is what happens when you've taken the time to be present and hit the reset button on one key area of your life. Because something as simple as a reset allows you to gain a new perspective and step into something a little differently...that can impact a lot. Like other life areas.

Can you imagine? Regardless of your to-do list?

Not waking up with dread, or anxiety, or questioning, or wishing...

As a high-achiever spinning all.the.things, you know the pull of constant doing. Go! Go! Go!

You understand the stress of managing the people and the processes. Come on! Come on! Come on!

Personal and professional development can feel like being on a track with too many hurdles and no finish line in sight...or a juggling act without an end to the show. Right?

It can feel like crossing a bridge that has missing planks, no guard rail, and no guidepost at the end. Yikes! πŸ˜‰

But what if I told you that a simple, targeted reset could shift you from overwhelmed DOing to purposeful BEing? Like...in the moment shifting.

I've been there. Building a business while raising a family, growing and volunteering in ministry, and trying to maintain self-care that always seemed...therapeutic for me...was hard. And these were also my non-negotiables!

It wasn't until I learned to:

  1. orchestrate my life by taking the baton and instruments God had given me for it, rather than juggling them

  2. see life challenges (and areas) as bridges, knowing I could cross AND they would take me to a better place...if I just didn't give up

  3. appreciate new perspectives...in every crossing...and grow from them, no matter how painful the growing

...that I found more peace and steady momentum. Sure, that momentum would get interrupted BIG time sometimes. But I had to remember and walk toward the reward. Sometimes that was...really...slow.

And when I needed to adjust the volume of a life area, which happened...a LOT...I discovered the importance of a life area reset.

"Okay...so what does that even mean, Deni?"
Great question! And to be honest...I didn't really acknowledge it as a reset during those times. I didn't know.

Let me start by saying that I love these two definitions of "reset" on dictionary.com:
  1. an act or instance of setting, adjusting, or fixing something in a new or different way
  2. a plant that is replanted
Powerful, right?
And we can do this daily...it's okay! LOL

Rarely is there a once-and-done solution. Why? Because life happens. And it's not just you that's experiencing life. You're surrounded by others that are trying to live their own lives, create their own success, and take care of themselves in the process.

Sometimes we need what's called a "do differently." And clarity and perspective are huge for this to be effective, so we can do something in a new or different (and better) way. (Rather than repeating the old ways.)

And sometimes the best way for us to grow...is to be replanted. Metaphorically, that would be in better soil (where we're received), light (where we're nourished), or area of care (where we're supported, strengthened, and encouraged).

So, for me, whether it was my body crying out for movement and nourishment, my mind wanting freedom from tangled overthinking or doubt, or my spirit longing for peace and a deeper connection with God...a reset is what taught me that it wasn't about adding more to my life or avoiding issues. It was much deeper and more fulfilling than that.

It was about clearing space for the life I knew I was created to live and love...AND for me to be fully present in it.
Like I said...deep.

The Trap of Endless Doing in Your Lifestyle

In our fast-paced world of gurus on personal development podcasts and professional development webinars, we hear a lot about hustle. I'm not a fan.

For many high achievers, success shows up in our bank accounts and...achievements. So, we fill our life with all.the.things. to get "there" and have "that." In the end...our life is full, but...we've gotten lost in it.

 lost in life

We end up not only feeling burned out...but also feeling "less than or smaller than." It's a genuine struggle. I was in it.

If you're anything like me, you likely value leadership and impact...but also freedom, authenticity, and well-being.

Many people come to me because...work seems to overshadow health and well-being. This drains their since of freedom. This creates friction in their ability to lead and make an authentic impact. This leaves them feeling unfulfilled and sometimes...empty.

How might this show up almost daily?

  • Mentally, you're exhausted.

  • Emotionally, guilt nags at you for not being present with family or...yourself.

  • Physically, your wearable tracker shows your high or low numbers as signals you may be going in the wrong direction.

  • And spiritually, there's a quiet ache for peace and alignment...that can't be ignored...much longer.

I can tell you this...without a shift in perspective, thinking, and actions...these areas don't fix themselves. They compound themselves.

You must be present to win.
Thus...a reset. And choosing one life area to reset is a simple way to start AND create momentum across your life for the best orchestration outcomes. Beautiful life music!

Reset Your Body: Reclaim Strength and Vibrancy

The body is the first red flag...or white one...that's acknowledged.  You might love your planners and fitness trackers. Cool. You might collect recipes and supplements. Nice.

Or...maybe you stay away from some or all of those things because...you'd rather not know.

But, regardless. Life gets in the way at some point. Workouts become "nice to haves," and rarely squeezed in. Meals are grabbed on the go or on the fly. And sleep? Both a challenge and a luxury. You may even notice where you're "feeling" stress in your body. A twinge here. A strain there. Another unexplained...something.

The overall result? Fatigue that shows up in meetings and family time. Extra baggage that's being carried in places your clothes can't hide. Less mobility and strength. And maybe more overall...discomfort.

A body reset isn't a fad diet or a grueling gym challenge. Those things can't be maintained long-term. It's not a mani/pedi while sipping tea, or a massage with scented oils. While these can be relaxing and fun...they don't solve anything.

A body reset is made up of simple steps that build energy and vitality. And, yes...it can even increase mobility and strength. And, yes...it can allow a more natural "loss" of what might be weighing you down. It's important to know that whatever approach is taken, it's without extremes or restrictions. That's critical.

An effective and powerful body reset can be simple, sustainable steps: nourishing foods that fuel your energy, movement that feels good, and rest that restores you.

A strong body supports a clear mind and quiet spirit.

I've seen clients...busy executives, coaches, doctors, lawyers, even pastors...emerge feeling renewed and ready to lead with confidence. No more choosing between success/impact, and well-being. You get to choose...yes. πŸ™‹πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

Think about it. When your body "works" with health, your professional and personal development flows easier. Decisions come quicker. Creativity feels good. And you're present for what matters. Daily.

It's literally the bridge from surviving to thriving in your lifestyle. You'll walk it out...strong. It begins with one repeatable step forward. That step is...repeated. And repeated. It doesn't matter how small it is. In fact, smaller is better...for now.

Then just keep doing it. You're not looking for perfection. Refining or shifting in the moment builds resilience with adaptability. Because if you can't adapt...in the moment...you might just get stalled, stuck, or stopped.

Reset Your Mind: From Overwhelm to Clarity

Now, the mind. High-achievers tend to consume books, podcasts, or interviews for guidance or relief here. They might have apps for mindset shifts or routine breaks. Something quick they can turn to...usually on the run.

I mean...you either already know or know of the advice. But implementation? Ah. That's the gap. Cause you're probably too busy...running.

Comparison. Limiting beliefs. Imposter syndrome. Any and all can creep in. Overthinking steals your peace. Fogs your clarity. Questions your purpose path. It can wear you down. Let me tell ya!

I always felt like that kind of mental fatigue was sometimes worse than physical fatigue.

A mind reset targets those blocking thoughts and allows you to focus in. Simple techniques can create space, AND a practice inside of it.

No woo-woo. Just practical tools for BEing in your DOing.

A clear mind supports a quiet spirit and a strong body.

An effective and powerful mind reset can give you simple, sustainable steps for that space to receive truth and build authentic confidence.

In professional development, it's gold. In personal development, it's powerful. Better focus, bolder decisions, and joy in the journey.

Clients tell me it's like lifting a fog. And when the fog is lifted, life orchestration feels natural.

Reset Your Spirit: Rediscover Peace and Purpose

"Spirit" might feel intangible at the least, and confusing at the most. These aren't reasons to ignore it. Ignoring it always creates a void.

That void might look like you chasing the next revenue goal thinking fulfillment follows. But it doesn't.

It might make family time feel like it's coming from guilt. Or that self-care is shallow or simply selfish.

An effective and powerful spirit reset can offer sustainable steps: discovering or reconnecting with your identity, reflection and gratitude practices, quiet moments of prayer or...silence.

These things can remind you to be who you were created to BE.  Faith-grounded. Simple. Fulfilling.

A quiet spirit supports a strong body and a clear mind.
Again. Not woo-woo.

And there's no pressure in this. Just a simple invitation to acknowledge and receive where real JOY comes from. And...lives...in alignment with purpose.

A spirit reset can help you start or rekindle your relationship with God as your source. It reconnects you to your purpose...because God created you for it. It allows for vision and your strengths to be used better during orchestration, AND space for regular "quiet" or "priority" time with Him to be cherished. These are all gifts. And I will say, this is also where the beginning of "heart healing" can happen as well!

For lifestyle integration, this reset is really the power behind the baton you hold that orchestrates it all. Clarity of direction. Peace with choices. Presence with loved ones. Purpose in your work. Connection with your Creator. It's beautiful.

It's the ultimate personal development anchor, AND the professional development (secret) weapon. This is what leads you into living authentically across your life. You can walk in who and Whose you are.

How a Reset Supports Orchestrated Living

Have you ever thought about why you're always searching?

Programs that feel like "just another thing" fail because they overload you. The "bonuses" alone are way too much. Who has time or energy for all of that? And who's going to use even half of it?

A life area reset is different: pick body, mind, or spirit to start. Whichever needs the most attention right now, OR whichever can create the biggest impact right now. Gain a new perspective. Choose to do simple, repeatable things and...repeat them. Make shifts as needed...even on the daily. You don't need a ton of...stuff.

Stack resets for wholeness: mind for clarity, body for energy, spirit for depth. It's your bridge. It's your bridge to wholeness. And that bridge to wholeness allows you to keep walking with clarity, peace, and JOY...personally and professionally.

Struggles like burnout or guilt?  A reset dissolves them. Take the baton back.

Lies like "success brings fulfillment"? A reset exposes them. Take the baton back.

Comparisons like, you need to be like "them" to succeed? A reset crushes them. Take the baton back.

You've tried books, apps, influencers. Now? Try guided simplicity.

When you choose and walk through a reset

  • You take the baton confidently.
  • You step onto your life podium strong.
  • You lift your hands with humility and joy.
  • You orchestrate your life with clarity and peace...knowing that you can and will shift, realign.
  • You'll turn up some life areas and tone down others.
  • You'll know when to incorporate the crescendos and decrescendos for impact.
  • Your life areas will learn to follow and support your rhythm.
That's life orchestration. And that's how a reset can help you get started, or bring you back into alignment.

(If you want to learn more about a well-orchestrated life, here's another blog post to guide you.)

Here's What I Know to Be True

A reset isn't selfish. It's stewardship of the life God has given you.

High-achievers thrive when living an orchestrated life vs balancing on a tightrope that makes them feel like...they could fail and fall at any time.

One life area impacts them all. That's what I love. Body fuels mind, mind quiets spirit, spirit infuses purpose into everything you do...personally and professionally.

And I'm going to add...you can totally reverse this thought process, because it works this way too! Meaning: spirit quiets mind, mind fuels body, and body supports spirit responses. Love that!

And momentum? It builds fast with daily support. Daily support means you're not rushed...you're ready...for better.

My Encouragement to You

Today...choose one area. What's the pull you're feeling right now? That's your cue.

Maybe you've built success. Now...build wholeness.

Maybe you're still chasing success. Now...go after wholeness.

Focus in. Start small. Walk it out with consistency.

You don't need 21 days to make something a habit (it's closer to 90 anyway πŸ™„).

You need...the best thing...that becomes the habit. Start there.

Get the support you need to help you steward all that you are...forward.
