Why Authenticity Stands as One of the Core Values in My Work

One value sits at the center of everything I share, every session I lead, every collaboration I step into. That value is authenticity. For me, it's not a catch word, a trend or even a quick fix. If I stand back and look at my life and life's work...authenticity is one of the steady threads that turn some of my best and worst efforts into steady momentum and much-needed peace.

Am I still challenged? Yes.
Do I still make mistakes? Yes.
Big ones? YES!

But I know what's at the core of who I am. I know how to shift. I know how to return. And forgiveness and grace help steady me.

Why Authenticity Matters to Me

Over the years, I've watched WAY too many uh-mae-zing people build what might be called "impressive lives"...and still feel unfulfilled. In fact, I did a survey once, and "unfulfilled" came up several times. That makes me sad.

I believe what happens is, they learn the "right" steps and follow them. They hit the "right" numbers and are proud of them. So...why do they still wonder if they're missing something?

I know that feeling because I struggled with it myself. And for me, I remember learning the scripts, the formulas, the kool-aid recipes for success. And honestly...those things never turned me on. I mean...sometimes, I even hated it.

I remember going through an advanced personal training certification a few decades ago, and in order to pass the practical exam, we had to say things a certain way. It was crazy watching others go through the process. Everybody was saying the same thing! We had to touch the muscle being activated, say a few choice words about that, tell them how to breathe...Wow. BORING!

And at one point during the process, I tried to waver. I was corrected. A slight hand slap. Oopsie! I was not impressed. It was one thing to be made to feel like I had to do it "that" way to pass. It was another thing to feel like I had to do it "that" way to succeed.

Think about that for a sec.

I believed that I didn't have to do it that way to succeed. So...I chose to get through the certification. I didn't chose to keep that thought process. I chose to keep the skills. I didn't chose to keep the script.

That wasn't rebellion. It's actually one of my top talent abilities. I didn't know it at the time. (Another story for another time.)

I want to be clear that it wasn't about the effectiveness of the word-for-word guidance I would give a client. It was about not allowing a robotic script to guide me mindlessly through a client's workout. My observation. The personalization. The ability to be MORE effective. That was my goal. I had just learned it in the teachings, and now...in the critical moments of application...where did it fit?

How could I be authentic in this process?

So, when I finally chose to incorporate how I lead from who I am created to be instead of who I thought I should be...wow...everything shifted. Work became so much more enjoyable. It felt good. Decisions became simpler. The thought that I had to push my way through someone else's script to and for success...disappeared.

That personal shift is why authenticity drives my work today. And one of the synonyms I love is, "purity." Wow.

It's me walking and working in ALIGNment with who I am.

Why Authenticity Matters to You

Have you every experienced the feeling...the cost of working out of alignment? If so, then you know what it means to feel the tension when work doesn't match your values. Not your "isms" or your ego. But your values...at your core.

Many of the people I talk to carry quiet and not-so-quiet doubts about whether they truly are the person others see. Imposter syndrome? Maybe.

Authenticity cuts through the lies. It reminds you that you do not have to pick between achievement and alignment. In truth, you can experience achievement best when your actions match your true identity. When you're walking and working in alignment with who you are...at your core.

Common struggles that fade with authenticity

  • Imposter syndrome loses its grip on your purpose when you stop performing and start showing up as who you truly are.
  • Guilt over missing important family moments fades when your schedule reflects what matters most.
  • And that endless search for the next program or planner to get your life in order? Yeah. That ends when you trust God's purpose and plan for your life.

How Authenticity Shows Up in Client Results

Women who work with me begin to notice small but steady changes within the first week. It doesn't matter what the program is. We begin shifting right away. Especially during a Reset.

One client told me how she's now waking up with less mental noise, because of her new bedtime routine. For her, that meant her morning cup of coffee was relaxing rather than needed to start her day. What a simple shift can do!

One client moved from constant late-night work sessions to protected evenings with her children or friends, AND...her revenue stayed steady because when she was working, she focused on the right tasks. BOOM!

Another stopped second-guessing every decision and started making choices that fit her energy and her identity instead of fighting them. She realized that a shift in her choices (away from what a program taught her), was all she needed to begin to explore and step into her own unique decision process.

And still another was able to save around $1K/month by simplifying her business systems. Crazy town! She's not a tech wizard, and she doesn't have to be. She's just seeing her business differently, and reaching out for help anytime she needs it. And gets it!

Over time these shifts create orchestrated living where business and personal life support each other instead of competing. It doesn't have to be either/or. It shouldn't.

The result is not just better choices. It's better habits. It is the deep sense that you are living the life you were meant for.

Here's What I Know to Be True

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: God created you on purpose, from purpose, for purpose. When you hide parts of yourself to meet outside expectations, you block the very clarity and peace you long for. Authenticity is not selfish. It is the simplest path to the fulfillment you keep chasing through harder work or more (content) programs.
